Tottenham link up with Juventus for Bremer, Vicario
Tottenham Hotspur are linked with Juventus defender Gleison Bremer as a possible replacement for Cristian Romero, and may involve goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario in a deal.
Cristian Romero, a former Juventus defender, is widely expected to depart Tottenham this summer. The 28-year-old captain attended a Belgrano vs River Plate match in Argentina while Tottenham played Everton in the Premier League. Romero was injured and was permitted to return to Argentina for treatment ahead of the World Cup.
Gleison Bremer's contract includes a €58m release clause that activates between 1 July and 10 August. Juventus are set to seek that amount for the 29-year-old Brazil international. Juventus also aim to replace goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, with Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez identified as a preferred option.
Tottenham could involve Guglielmo Vicario to reduce the Bremer fee. Juventus remain inclined to retain the full €58m valuation. Bremer featured in a Serie A match for Juventus against US Lecce on 9 May 2026.
