Ajax locks in Team Rockstars IT till 2029 as Ziggo departs

🇳🇱

With main shirt sponsor Ziggo set to leave after this season, Ajax faced a looming gap in its commercial kit and a need for a partner aligned with its ambition. The club therefore announced the extension of its partnership with Team Rockstars IT, securing the IT firm on the sleeve until 2029.

Ziggo, Ajax's primary shirt sponsor, will cease its partnership after the current campaign, leaving the club without its long‑standing commercial front‑man. The departure creates urgency for Ajax to secure a sponsor that matches its strategic focus on growth and innovation.

"Team Rockstars IT has developed into an engaged and ambitious partner that perfectly fits our club. Their focus on talent development, innovation and creating an environment where people can excel aligns seamlessly with our vision," said commercial director Cas Biesta of Ajax.

"Ajax breathes ambition, development and the will to improve every day. That is exactly what Team Rockstars IT stands for, making the partnership feel like a perfect match from day one," said founder Laurens Simonse of Team Rockstars IT.

The shared vision materialises in the Hackathon, returning after a successful first edition. During the event, developers, AI specialists, data scientists and football experts collaborate on new data and artificial‑intelligence applications for top‑level sport.

Team Rockstars IT will therefore continue as the official sleeve sponsor on Ajax shirts through 2029, reinforcing the club's status as one of Europe's biggest football institutions. The extended deal also promises ongoing collaborative projects that aim to keep Ajax at the forefront of sport‑technology integration.
