Arsenal set €20m Trossard exit, Besiktas await in Istanbul
Arsenal have confirmed on their official website that winger Leandro Trossard will leave the Premier League club for Turkish side Besiktas, with the player cleared to travel to Istanbul for his medical examination. The permanent transfer is reported to be worth €20 million.
The agreement includes €18 million payable upfront and potential add‑ons of €2 million. Arsenal added that a further update will be issued once the transfer is formally completed.
The club underscored its transparency by posting the news on its official site, highlighting the Premier League side’s commitment to clear communication. This statement signals Arsenal’s intention to keep supporters informed throughout the process.
Unlike many other European nations, Turkish clubs often greet new signings publicly, with fans waiting at the airport. This Turkish tradition means Besiktas will likely welcome Trossard in a highly visible manner.
Trossard is reported to sign a three‑year contract with an option for a fourth year, earning roughly €7 million (£6 million) per season. The deal therefore secures a long‑term commitment for the winger in Istanbul.
