Barcelona's €20m offer clashes with Dortmund's €40m demand for Adeyemi
At 14:46 today, FC Barcelona put forward a €20 million bid for 24‑year‑old striker Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund, a figure reported by the German branch of Sky Sport. The offer, made by the Spaanse top club, starkly contrasts with the Duitse side's expectation of double that sum.
The Catalanen's offer comes to twenty million euros. It reflects Barcelona's willingness to invest in the young forward.
Dortmund, however, is aiming for forty million euros. The Duitsers hope to receive double the amount offered.
Adeyemi currently has only a one‑year contract left at Dortmund. This short‑term contract weakens the Duitse side's negotiating position.
In the summer of 2022, Dortmund paid thirty million euros to Red Bull Salzburg for Adeyemi. The Germans hope that after this transfer a sum of thirty million euros will still be retained.
Dortmund also seeks a percentage of any future sale and additional performance bonuses. Such clauses would secure long‑term revenue for the club.
Barcelona and Dortmund are currently working on an agreement. De clubs continue negotiations to finalise the transfer.
