Bayern sign Nathaniel Brown for €55m, contract to 2031
Bayern Munich have secured the signing of 23‑year‑old left‑back Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt for €55 million, with a contract running until mid‑2031, Sky Sport Germany reports and Fabrizio Romano confirms; the move arrives after weeks of speculation and aims to bolster Bayern’s left‑back line.
The transfer had been in the air for weeks, with Bayern reportedly allocating around €100 million for both Brown and fellow target Ismael Saibari. Ultimately the club will spend €10 million more than initially planned.
According to transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg, Brown insisted on moving only to Bayern. The German international, a product of FC Nürnberg’s youth academy, joined Frankfurt at the start of 2024.

At Eintracht Frankfurt Brown became a regular fixture, tallying 42 appearances, four goals and six assists this season. His performances cemented his reputation as a reliable left‑back. Brown, who helped Germany qualify for the next World Cup round, will provide Vincent Kompany with an additional defensive option. Bayern’s interest in the left‑back position intensified after Raphael Guerreiro’s contract expires next week. The Portuguese winger’s departure leaves a vacancy that Brown is set to fill. Alphonso Davies, typically a mainstay under Kompany, has struggled with frequent injuries this season. Brown’s arrival offers depth to mitigate those setbacks.
