Brighton Diego Coppola set for Paris FC return as club reshapes defence

🇫🇷 By 4All Football Editorial ·
Paris FC face a defensive gap as they rebuild under new boss Liam Rosenior, prompting the club to secure Brighton Diego Coppola permanently. The 22‑year‑old Italian defender, on loan since January, is seen as a key piece to stabilise the back line. Coppola arrived at Paris FC on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion in January, 14 appearances for Les Parisiens, first under Stéphane Gilli and later under Antoine Kombouaré (Kombouar). The club’s coaching staff changed when Liam Rosenior, formerly of Chelsea, was appointed as head coach, ending Kombouaré’s short but successful stint. This shift underscores the need for continuity in defence. Romano Brighton and Paris FC have reached a deal in principle for a permanent transfer. The agreed fee is €18 million with an additional €2 million in add‑ons. Final approval now rests with the Premier League, which must sanction the move before the Italian can return to the Stade Jean Bouin. Luke Entwistle noted the pending decision.
