Cesar Peixoto appointed Wolves head coach
Wolves have appointed Portugal international Cesar Peixoto as head coach, succeeding Rob Edwards who was dismissed last week.
The 46‑year‑old guided Gil Vicente to sixth place in the Primeira Liga last season and has also managed Moreirense and Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal’s top flight.
Peixoto becomes the third manager at Molineux in seven months, after the dismissals of Rob Edwards and Vitor Pereira in the 2025‑26 season. Wolves finished bottom of the Premier League, 21 points adrift of safety last season. The club has asked supporters to weigh in on whether Peixoto can restore top‑flight status at the first attempt.
