Charleroi signs 21‑year‑old Severin Nioule from Häcken

Charleroi have completed their third summer signing by securing 21‑year‑old left winger Severin Nioule from Swedish side Häcken on a permanent deal, with a reported fee of around €300,000 and a contract expected to run for three years this season.

The club released an official statement praising Nioule's explosive profile and development potential.

He was a starter twice against Anderlecht in the second preliminary round of the Europa League a year ago. He did not finish the season with Häcken.

After limited opportunities, he was loaned to Varbergs in Sweden's second division. At Varbergs he scored four goals in the first twelve matches of the season since March.

The transfer fee is reported to be around €300,000. The contract length has not been disclosed but is expected to be three years.

Nioule is Charleroi's third summer addition. Earlier arrivals this window were Kevin Van den Kerkhof from FC Metz and Noah Solheid from Seraing.

He will compete for the same wing position as fellow Ivorian Parfait Guiagon. Guiagon extended his contract in the winter until June 2028, though his rapport with supporters has weakened.

Both Nioule and Guiagon are natives of Abidjan. Häcken originally scouted Nioule from ASEC Mimosas in July 2023.
