Charles Vanhoutte signs with Feyenoord until mid‑2030

Belgian midfielder Charles Vanhoutte becomes Feyenoord’s first summer signing, signing a contract in Rotterdam that runs until mid‑2030 after his move from OGC Nice. He said he is eager to compete for national trophies and the Champions League with the Dutch club.

"Ik heb ontzettend veel zin in dit nieuwe avontuur", Vanhoutte said after the transfer was announced on the club website. He described the move as a new adventure he is very excited about.

He added that Feyenoord is a beautiful club to play for, emphasizing the sporting aspect of chasing national trophies and Champions League participation. Vanhoutte expressed strong anticipation for those challenges.

Vanhoutte felt the club matches his character, noting that perseverance and team spirit are highly valued at Feyenoord and align with his own traits. He said he cannot wait to start preseason preparations and pursue success with the supporters.

Feyenoord acquired Vanhoutte from OGC Nice, and his earlier career included spells at AFC Tubize, Club Brugge and Union Saint‑Gilloise. The Belgian midfielder’s move marks his first transfer to the Dutch Eredivisie.

Nice had signed Vanhoutte in the summer of 2025 for a fee of six million euros, and the French club reportedly recovered that transfer sum. The fee details were disclosed in the transfer history.

Vanhoutte made his debut for the Belgian national team in September 2025, but has not added further appearances since that single international match. His international experience remains limited to that one cap.
