Conceição's anger outburst after Juventus move and his denial
Francisco Conceição was substituted after just over an hour of play during the Europa League duel between Juventus and Celta de Vigo, which was followed by a burst of anger; however, he denies the incident in all tones and emphasizes that he does not want falsehoods to arise.
Substitution and the aftermath
Coach Luciano Spalletti pulled the Portuguese winger aside, after which Nicolás González replaced him on the pitch at a 1-1 scoreline. Shortly before that, Nick Woltemade had brought Juventus level, after which Randal Kolo Muani secured the victory in the final seconds.
According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Conceição had a burst of anger after his substitution and left the bench, after which he got into a heated exchange of words with a member of the technical staff. He went straight to the dressing room and later returned to the field.

Conceição later told the Italian outlet: “I haven’t argued with anyone. I gave a little tap to the bench, but I didn’t argue with the staff, so what has been said is not correct.”
He continued: “I went inside, changed my shirt, was in the bathroom for three or four minutes and then came back out. I say this because I don’t want falsehoods to be spread.”
