Cyle Larin scored in the 79th minute to secure a 1-1 draw for Canada against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the opening match of the 2026 World Cup in Toronto. The game was the tournament's first fixture. Canada controlled possession for most of the match but struggled to break through goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj. Jonathan David's early shot was saved by Vasilj, and Richie Laryea's effort was cleared off the line by Sead Kolašinac.
