Dani Ceballos moves toward Real Betis return

🇪🇸 yesterday

Dani Ceballos, the 29‑year‑old Real Madrid midfielder, is reportedly close to leaving the Spanish capital for a return to his boyhood club Real Betis. Recent moves to a newly built house in Utrera and steps to terminate his contract suggest the transfer is imminent.

Ceballos has begun moving out of his Madrid home into a newly built property in his hometown of Utrera, intensifying speculation that his spell at Real Madrid is ending. The relocation aligns with negotiations with Real Betis over a new contract are still ongoing.

The midfielder is working on terminating the final year of his contract with Real Madrid, aiming to depart as a free agent. A free‑agent exit would allow him to sign a multi‑year agreement with Real Betis, the club where he began his professional career nine years ago.

A transport worker posted images of household items being loaded, captioning the post, “Moving for @danifuli10. Thank you for trusting @elverdaderoraul.” The accompanying photograph, taken by Denis Doyle, showed the truck leaving the Community of Madrid while the song “Volveré” by Galván Real played, a nod to Ceballos’ return to Andalusia.

Ceballos shared gym photos on social media with music from El Barrio and the caption “One day less.” He also posted pictures with his partner Luna Serrat, who is expecting twin daughters, writing that he would choose her “46 times more.”

The number 46 was Ceballos’ shirt when he made his senior debut for Real Betis in the 2013/14 season and he kept it through the 2014/15 promotion campaign. The couple plan to raise their family in the new Utrera house close to relatives and friends, underscoring the personal dimension of the anticipated reunion.
