Dani Ceballos to terminate Real Madrid contract and join Real Betis
Midfielder Dani Ceballos will leave Real Madrid after the club and the Andalusian player agreed to terminate his contract, a move confirmed following José Mourinho’s decision that he is not part of the squad. Negotiations aim to end his deal in the coming days, paving the way for a switch to Real Betis Balompié.
Real Madrid and Dani Ceballos have formally decided to part ways. The club and the Andalusian midfielder are clear they will not continue together after José Mourinho decided he does not count on him.
The parties are negotiating the termination of his contract to finalize his departure. According to AS, the midfielder will give up the final year of his contract.
His most likely destination is Real Betis Balompié, a club he has wished to join for years. The green‑and‑whites also share his desire to bring him to Seville.
Ceballos had previously been linked with Míchel’s Ajax, but the termination is intended to enable a move to Betis that does not require a transfer fee. The Dutch side reportedly did not want to pay a fee for the midfielder.
By ending his contract, Ceballos can join Real Betis Balompié without a fee, completing his exit from Real Madrid. The agreement will allow the Andalusian midfielder to start a new chapter with the Seville club.
