Denzel Dumfries Signals Real Madrid Move on Instagram
Denzel Dumfries, the 30-year-old Inter Milan full‑back, appears to confirm a transfer to Real Madrid after responding to a post on Instagram. The defender thanked a celebratory message from his former youth club VV Smitshoek that announced his signing.
Real Madrid have not issued an official statement, but the club reportedly paid €20 million to secure Dumfries. President Florentino Perez has previously confirmed the move in the build‑up to the presidential elections.
The Instagram post from VV Smitshoek read that Dumfries “has signed for Real Madrid” and praised his journey from the Dutch academy to the Santiago Bernabéu. Dumfries replied simply with “Thank you very much,” without correcting the claim.
Dumfries joins a list of players linked with Real Madrid this summer, including Ibrahima Konate, as part of manager Mourinho’s squad rebuild. The additions aim to strengthen positions that have been under review.
Until Real Madrid release an official announcement, the transfer remains unofficial, but the social‑media activity adds weight to the speculation.
