Dutch face Morocco test as World Cup knockout looms
The Netherlands face their first World Cup knockout test in the early hours of Tuesday against Morocco in Monterrey, Mexico. The match follows a group-stage draw with Senegal and a narrow victory over Ecuador.
Morocco qualified as group winners from Group F, finishing above Croatia, Belgium and Canada. The Dutch finished second in Group A behind hosts Mexico, level on points with Ecuador but separated by goal difference.
