France set to face Iraq with Barcola in and Doué on bench

France will line up against Iraq on Monday night at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Field, with Bradley Barcola starting in place of Désiré Doué as Didier Deschamps makes three changes ahead of their second 2026 World Cup group match, after beating Senegal 3-1 in their opening game. Les Bleus sit atop Group I after a 3-1 victory over Senegal in their opening match. A win against Iraq will secure France’s place in the World Cup knock-out stage. Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne is set to start in place of Lucas Hernandez. The change gives Digne a chance to impress on the international stage. AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné will replace Aurélien Tchouaméni. The Real Madrid midfielder missed Sunday’s training session. Michael Olise will operate as the No. 10 behind Kylian Mbappé. Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé is positioned on the right wing. France’s likely lineup features Mike Maignan in goal; a back four of Lucas Digne, William Saliba, Dayot Upamecano and Jules Koundé. The midfield includes Adrien Rabiot and Manu Koné, while the attack comprises Bradley Barcola, Michael Olise, Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé. Bradley Barcola, the Paris Saint-Germain winger, scored off the bench against Senegal.
