French Ligue 1 giants chase Sweden’s top scorer Robbie Ure
RC Strasbourg Alsace, OGC Nice and Olympique Lyonnais are reportedly monitoring the situation of IK Sirius forward Robbie Ure, the 22‑year‑old Scottish striker who has already scored 16 goals in 16 matches across all competitions this season. His prolific form has placed him at the top of the Allsvenskan scoring chart and attracted attention from the French Ligue 1 side.
Robbie Ure is a product of the Rangers academy and was born in Glasgow. He moved to Sweden in March 2025 after completing a year‑and‑a‑half spell in the youth ranks at RCS Anderlecht.
In his debut season with IK Sirius, the Scottish Under‑21 international featured in 30 matches. He contributed 11 goals and four assists, proving decisive on 15 occasions.
Ure is contracted to IK Sirius until December 2029. The length of his deal makes him a centre‑forward available at a reasonable price for interested clubs.
RC Strasbourg Alsace are seeking to strengthen their squad to cover the injury‑enforced absence of Joaquín Panichelli, 23, until the end of the calendar year. Both OGC Nice and Olympique Lyonnais have also been linked to the striker as potential reinforcements.
The contrast between Ure’s rapid ascent from youth football to leading scorer and the immediate interest of three Ligue 1 clubs highlights a transfer window opportunity. If a move materialises before his contract expires, the Scottish forward could join a French side while still under 23, offering a new challenge ahead of the next season.
