Hansi Flick adds Shane Kluivert to Barcelona pre-season

Hansi Flick will include 18‑year‑old Shane Kluivert in Barcelona’s senior squad for the upcoming pre‑season. The winger has been told he will join the first‑team preparations. Kluivert is scheduled to undergo medical examinations on 13 July before travelling to the club’s training camp at St George’s Park in England. He will train alongside the senior group as Barcelona prepares for the new campaign. Barcelona extended Kluivert’s contract until 2028 earlier this year. Last season he appeared for Barcelona Atletic while still eligible for Juvenil A competition. Barcelona’s recent success has been built on giving opportunities to young players, and the club remains determined to keep that pathway open.
