Inter near €25m deal for Oumar Solet
Inter have reached a basis on personal terms with centre‑back Oumar Solet and are close to meeting Udinese's €25 million asking price. The deal would likely involve a four‑year contract with wages around €2.5 million per season. Udinese have set the price at €25 million, with Inter reported to be about €3 million short.
Inter aim to reinforce a defence that will lose Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian when their contracts expire later this month. Both defenders are set to depart at the end of the 2025‑26 season after the club secured a domestic double. Yann Bisseck is also expected to be sold in a profitable summer deal.
Sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed that Solet is among the defenders being pursued and that Inter must act before the contracts run out. Ausilio said the club may intervene with a loan including an option or obligation to buy, which could require Solet to sign an extension with Udinese first. The French centre‑back, 26, has performed well in Italy and is entering the final year of his Udinese contract.
Arthur Atta has also been mentioned in discussions between the clubs, but no concrete progress has been made. Solet was previously seen in a Serie A match between Udinese Calcio and US Cremonese in May 2026.
