Joseph Oosting appointed Go Ahead Eagles manager on two-year deal
Joseph Oosting has been appointed head coach of Go Ahead Eagles on a two‑year contract.
The appointment follows his dismissal by Antwerp after a poor play‑offs campaign.
Oosting replaces Melvin Boel, who took charge after Paul Simonis departed for the Bundesliga.
Boel, a former Dordrecht manager, recorded 12 wins, 15 draws and 19 defeats in his spell.
At Antwerp in the Belgian Pro League, Oosting posted 11 wins, 12 losses and three draws.
His earlier tenure at FC Twente in the Eredivisie yielded an average of 1.6 points per game and a 47 % win ratio.
Go Ahead Eagles concluded the 2025/2026 Eredivisie season in 12th place while juggling domestic fixtures with European commitments.
