KAA Gent eye german striker Mansour ouro-tagba
KAA Gent is looking to add a new forward from Germany as they prepare for a demanding season with ambitions in the Conference League. The club has already secured Panamanian forward Josué Vergara and is now targeting 21‑year‑old Togolese striker Mansour Ouro‑Tagba.
Josué Vergara was officially presented in early June as KAA Gent's latest attacking acquisition. The Panamanian youth international impressed at FK Auda in Latvia, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists in 17 matches.
Wilfried Kanga's recent unpopularity with fans has raised the prospect of his departure from KAA Gent. The club therefore seeks additional reinforcement up front to offset any potential loss.
Mansour Ouro-Tagba, a 21‑year‑old Togolese striker born in New York, spent the previous season on loan from FC Köln to the Stuttgart reserve team. His performances there included 32 appearances, nine goals and three assists.
Transfermarkt values Ouro-Tagba at €600,000 and he remains under contract with FC Köln until June 2028. Both SK Rapid Wien and Preussen Münster have expressed interest in the young forward.
KAA Gent, also known as De Buffalo’s, aims to secure the striker to bolster their attack for the upcoming campaign.
