Kevin De Bruyne Ready for World Cup After Belgium Rehab
Kevin De Bruyne says completing his rehabilitation in Belgium was the best choice and he now feels ready for the 2026 World Cup.
He missed nearly five months from late October 2025 to early March 2026, sitting out 30 games across all competitions for SSC Napoli and Belgium. He trusted physiotherapist Lieven Maesschalck and his staff during the rehab.
De Bruyne recorded five goals and four assists in 21 appearances for SSC Napoli in the 2025-26 Serie A season before his injury. He added that he never experienced relapses or pain during the rehabilitation period.
He will join the Belgium squad coached by Rudi Garcia for the upcoming World Cup and expects to regain full form after a couple of games. De Bruyne also expressed satisfaction that Antonio Conte is no longer SSC Napoli coach, a comment that prompted a response from Cristian Stellini.
