Kramer demands Letexier after Olise's strain in the Metropolitano

At the Metropolitano, the away match between FC Bayern and Atletico Madrid featured an intense first half, marked by numerous duels, while referee Francois Letexier showed no yellow cards – a circumstance that Christopher Kramer criticized during the halftime break.

Kramer's criticism of the referee

Christoph Kramer advised the Frenchman during the break to react more strongly to the frequent fouls in the future.

The former world champion first analyzed the goalless 0-0 at the Metropolitano as a TV expert for Prime Video and criticised a slightly low tempo, but praised the good defending.

He summed up the match with the words “Good game!” but criticised the behaviour of some Atletico players when the ball was not near them.

Kramer started a conversation with Letexier: “I think that you as a referee sometime…”, then stopped, continued and explained that he loves the Spanish and Argentinian competitive mentality, but also demands that the referee should signal more clearly off the ball what he sees.

He pointed out that Olise had already been tackled strongly about 15 times in the match.

Olise, whose inclusion before kickoff had been questionable, came into action as usual on the right attacking side for FC Bayern and was mainly up against the left defender Alejandro Grimaldo as well as the trailing Alex Baena of Atletico.

Olise played decently, but without outstanding highlights.

Assistant coach Aaron Danks of Bayer explained that after his knee injury in the Dortmund match (2-2), Olise had only suffered a bruise to the bone, without a structural injury, which is why he can play again.
