Kylian Mbappé will leave Real Madrid in 2027, prefers Liverpool

In a report cited by multiple media outlets, the 27‑year‑old striker Kylian Mbappé says he wants to leave Real Madrid already in the summer of 2027. According to journalist François Gallardo, he prefers a move to Liverpool, which has already made contact with his mother Fayza Lamari.

Liverpool as Preferred Destination

Gallardo emphasizes that several Premier League clubs are showing interest in Mbappé, but the player places Liverpool at the top. “Several Premier League clubs are interested in Kylian Mbappé, but the player's priority is Liverpool,” he said, adding that contact had already been made with his mother Fayza Lamari. The journalist then mentioned another concrete detail that underscores the player's priority on Liverpool.

Liverpool had already tried in 2016 to consider the young Frenchman in the race for a transfer when he was still playing for Monaco. At that time, a visit by the club to his family left a very positive impression.

Currently, given the situation at Real Madrid, Mbappé is regarded as the biggest star and holds a long‑term contract with the Spanish record‑holder. A possible departure would therefore require a gigantic transfer fee.

Gallardo assures that the Spanish Royals would not stand in the way of the striker's departure should he actively request a transfer in the summer of 2027. He also emphasized that Mbappé has already decided to leave the club, but so far there is no information about an official offer from Liverpool.

Direct contact with Mbappé's mother, who handles his business affairs, could indicate that the Reds are probing the terms of a possible transfer. Nevertheless, the interest remains non‑binding so far.

A move to Liverpool would not only strengthen the Premier League, but also sustainably impact Europe's transfer landscape, as such a deal could count among the biggest in history.
