LaLiga Sends RFEF Complaints Over Pitch Invasions

LaLiga forwarded complaints to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Tuesday. The complaints concern the 40th and final matchday of the season. They allege pitch invasions at Estadio de El Sardinero and Estadio de Riazor.

Spectators entered the playing surface at El Sardinero during the celebration of Racing de Santander’s promotion. A similar breach occurred at Riazor while Deportivo de La Coruña marked its own ascent.

The disciplinary committee of the RFEF will examine the incidents. Potential sanctions could include fines or stadium bans for the clubs involved.

Racing de Santander secured promotion to the Segunda División after finishing the season in the top positions. Deportivo de La Coruña earned promotion to the same division following its final‑day victory.

LaLiga expects the RFEF to act swiftly to preserve match‑day security. The federation’s decision will be communicated to the clubs before the start of the next season.
