Licha Martínez’s Ibiza surprise as Lisandro gifts Argentine shirt

On a sun‑drenched afternoon in Ibiza, Lisandro Martínez paused his holiday training to meet two supporters and handed each a Selección Argentina jersey, a gesture that instantly lit up Instagram and sparked a wave of online admiration. The Argentine defender, due back at Manchester United for the Premier League season, turned a casual beach encounter into a memorable fan moment.

The Instagram account @malenlopez02 posted behind‑the‑scenes footage of the encounter, showing Martínez and the young fan Licha sharing a ball‑dribbling session on the island’s promenade. The short clip captured the relaxed atmosphere before the gift was presented.

Licha wrote in her post, “Hoy fue un día inolvidable, gracias Dios. Vamos Argentina”, expressing gratitude and national pride after receiving the shirt from the 28‑year‑old central defender.

She later uploaded a 24‑hour story that vanished after a day, accompanied by a photo captioned “Se desayuna con regalito”, highlighting the surprise gift as a breakfast treat.

Hours later a video appeared on her feed showing the moment Martínez handed over the national team jersey, with Licha exclaiming “Y Lisandro le regaló la remera, bendecidos”. The clip also captured a companion shouting “El chabón es crack”.

During the same vacation Martínez ran into compatriots Enzo Fernández and Julián Álvarez, all three fresh from a demanding season and participants in the 2026 World Cup with the Albiceleste.

Licha also documented a photo session with Fernández, now a Chelsea midfielder, and Álvarez, an Atlético de Madrid striker, at a nearby padel complex, adding more Argentine camaraderie to the holiday.

The defender left a comment on a post featuring former River Plate players, writing simply “Ah casual?” as he acknowledged the shared break with his countrymen.

Reflecting on the recent World Cup final loss to Spain at MetLife Stadium, Martínez posted on 21 July, “Con el dolor en el alma por no haber podido traer la copa que todos queríamos, pero con el orgullo a flor de piel por esta camiseta…”. The message mixed sorrow with pride over the gifted jersey.

Back in his hometown of Gualeguay, the Qatar 2022 champion was welcomed by a crowd and thanked supporters, saying, “Gracias a cada persona que estuvo ahí y a todos los argentinos que me acompañan siempre. Ese apoyo significa muchísimo y me da todavía más fuerzas para seguir representando a nuestro país”.
