Liverpool face €50m hurdle for Antonio Nusa as summer bids intensify
Liverpool face a €50 million price tag for RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa as they look to strengthen a squad that finished fifth in the Premier League and aims to improve in the 2026‑27 campaign. The Reds' backroom staff, led by manager Andoni Iraola, will have to decide whether the investment matches their recruitment priorities.
Liverpool's primary target Yan Diomande is no longer an option, pushing the club to look elsewhere. Antonio Nusa has emerged as the replacement candidate, with the Reds reportedly told a €50 million fee is required.
Nusa, who has spent the current season on the left wing for RB Leipzig, recorded nine goal contributions across all competitions. At 21 years old, his potential is highlighted by his versatility and prior experience on the right flank.
"The club's current stance is not based on an urgent need to sell the player," the German club wrote. "However, Leipzig is very open to negotiations if a suitable financial offer is received... the club is prepared to give the green light for the player's departure if an offer in the region of €50 million is received."
Erling Haaland has called his fellow Norwegian an "exceptional" player, adding weight to Nusa's reputation. While Liverpool need to reinforce the right wing, Nusa's past deployment on that side suggests he could adapt.
The final decision rests with Andoni Iraola, who must balance the €50 million outlay against other attacking priorities. Until Liverpool submit an offer, the transfer remains unresolved and could shape the squad for the 2026‑27 campaign.
