Liverpool in talks for €100m Yan Diomande move

Liverpool have confirmed talks for a transfer fee of around €100 million for winger Yan Diomande. Last summer sporting director Richard Hughes oversaw £450 million of spending, including roughly £200 million on new strikers. Alexander Isak arrived for a British record £125 million fee, Hugo Ekitike was added for £69 million, and the defending Premier League champions also secured Florian Wirtz for up to £116 million. This summer the focus shifts to the wide positions, with uncertainty surrounding Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha on the left. Mohamed Salah will leave when his contract expires on 30 June, and Federico Chiesa is set to join him. Yan Diomande, the 19‑year‑old Ivorian, moved to RB Leipzig from Leganes last summer for €20 million and is under contract until 2030. Leipzig are willing to extend his deal and aim to sell him for a larger sum in 2027, yet Liverpool remain the primary suitor.
