Manchester City eye Lille's Bouaddi as midfield priority

Manchester City are actively searching for another midfielder this summer, with they have held talks with Lille over a potential move for 18‑year‑old Ayyoub Bouaddi. The club’s interest follows the pending medical for Elliot Anderson and the confirmed signing of a Nottingham Forest midfielder.

Only a medical remains for Elliot Anderson, and the official confirmation of City’s signing of the Nottingham Forest midfielder is still awaited. Finding another midfielder is high on Hugo Viana’s to‑do list.

Journalist Matteo Moretto reported that Manchester City have held talks with Lille regarding a possible transfer for Ayyoub Bouaddi. Moretto added that the club is extremely interested in the Moroccan midfielder.

Moretto did not indicate whether City intend to submit an offer for Bouaddi at this stage. The lack of an offer suggestion leaves the situation open.

Deportes reporter Rodra stated that Manchester City are the team best positioned to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi. Rodra’s assessment underscores City’s perceived advantage in the market.

City need another midfielder to round out their squad, and Bouaddi, at 18, is described as ready‑made to contribute now and develop into a key player in the future. The club’s potential signing would address both immediate and long‑term needs.

Multiple reports point to Bouaddi as a potential target for Manchester City, but much remains to be decided. All that remains to be seen is whether City will move for Bouaddi this summer.
