Milan refuses to sell Christian Pulisic despite NYCFC offer
AC Milan have made clear they will not part with US midfielder Christian Pulisic this summer, despite New York City FC’s reported €10 million‑a‑year five‑year salary offer and interest from other MLS clubs. The Italian side also retain a contract option until 2028 and say the player will stay focused on the United States World Cup campaign.
New York City FC have signalled they would meet the midfielder’s wage demands, offering €10 million per season on a five‑year deal. The Athletic added that several other MLS clubs would also submit proposals if Pulisic became available.
AC Milan, however, have publicly stated they have no intention of selling Pulisic this summer. The club’s option to extend his contract by a further twelve months until 2028 gives them flexibility.
Pulisic is entering the final year of his current deal, which runs to the end of June 2027. Milan retain a unilateral option to prolong the agreement to the summer of 2028.
The United States midfielder remains focused on the World Cup campaign with the USMNT, and his priorities are unlikely to shift before the tournament concludes. His international duties have taken precedence over any transfer discussions.
Milan have been negotiating a new contract with the former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund forward for several months, but no deal has been reached. Club officials indicated they are not under pressure to finalize an extension, given the existing option until 2028.
