Mourinho flags six Real Madrid players for exit

Jose Mourinho has identified six Real Madrid players he does not see fitting into his new project. The shortlist includes Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, Raul Asencio, Dani Ceballos, Fran Garcia and Franco Mastantuono. Rodrygo, the 25‑year‑old Brazilian forward, has been a key figure and one of the club’s most recognizable attackers. He remains sidelined by injury and is not expected back until the latter stages of 2026. Eduardo Camavinga, the French midfielder, holds a contract until 2029. Despite his talent, he has failed to convince after several seasons in Madrid, raising questions about his development. Raul Asencio, the academy graduate, secured a contract extension until 2031. He will have to fight for his place as Real Madrid continue to pursue additional defensive reinforcements. Dani Ceballos is already exploring options away from Real Madrid, with Ajax linked. The midfielder is believed to favour a return to Real Betis. Fran Garcia consistently performs whenever selected. He remains behind other options in the pecking order and could become available if the club receives a suitable offer. Franco Mastantuono, the Argentine teenager, is viewed as a long‑term investment. The club would be open to a loan move that guarantees regular football and European competition.
