Nations League: the Red Devils will play in Izmir against Turkey

UEFA confirmed on Thursday that the Nations League football match between Belgium, the Red Devils, and Turkey will be played on Thursday 12 November in Izmir, at the Gürsel Aksel stadium, home of the Göztepe SK club, with a capacity of over 23,000 spectators.

The announcement was made by UEFA, the European football union, this Thursday, specifying the date and venue of the fifth match of the campaign.

Match venue confirmed

The clash will take place at the Gürsel Aksel stadium, which is the ground of the Turkish club Göztepe SK.

The stadium can accommodate more than 23,000 spectators, thus providing sufficient capacity for the supporters of both nations.

This encounter constitutes the fifth matchday of the new Nations League campaign, where Belgium will have to play four matches in eleven days.

As part of the same campaign, the Red Devils have already faced Italy on 25 September in Rome, then France on 28 September in Brussels, and Turkey on 2 October in Liège.

After the trip to Izmir on 12 November, Belgium will host Italy in Brussels on 15 November to conclude the series of matches.

The UEFA statement was published in the Sports section, highlighting the importance of this clash in the European sporting calendar.
