Noham Kamara joins Lyon permanently from PSG
Centre-back Noham Kamara has completed a permanent transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Olympique Lyonnais. The 19-year-old defender activated a loan-to-permanent clause with Lyon, finalizing the move after his temporary spell at the club.
Lyon triggered a €4 million upfront fee with an additional €2 million in potential bonuses. Kamara joined Lyon on loan from PSG in January and made league appearances in the second half of the season.
PSG retain two midfielders through summer. Jorge Mendes confirmed neither of his clients at the club, Ibrahim Mbaye, will leave this summer. Mbaye has been linked with Premier League clubs including Aston Villa.
Kamara was previously linked with European clubs including Bayer Leverkusen before his January loan move. Lyon’s decision signals their long-term confidence in the young defender’s potential.
