One Red Devil gives Johan Boskamp big headaches after Lukaku's tackle

Johan Boskamp, the Dutchman who is always straightforward, watched attentively during the match of the Red Devils against Italy in Rome. He felt that the key player of the Belgians did not fit well in the match, despite the early goals from Mika Godts and substitute Dodi Lukebakio.

Lukaku’s difficult start in Turkey

According to Boskamp, Lukaku is experiencing a difficult start to the season at Fenerbahçe, with few minutes on the pitch. He has had hardly any action since his transfer to Turkey, and it has now been more than a year since he played a full match. Boskamp noted that Lukaku, in the clinch with Gianluigi Donnarumma after the match, gave a clear sign that he is not in top form.

The former coach of the Red Devils, who writes for Het Belang van Limburg, called Lukaku’s substitute performance “a mediocre cameo”. He received two balls and missed his control twice. Boskamp described it as “kicked on his tip far too quickly”.

Romelu Lukaku has accumulated 191 minutes of play this season so far, spread over eight matches, without scoring. His last club goal dates from 28 February, when he scored the winning strike against Hellas Verona. Since then the cannon has been silent.

Despite the current problems, Boskamp cherishes the hope that the best version of Lukaku will still return. He states that Lukaku urgently needs to play at Fenerbahçe to regain his form.
