Owner Ryan Friedkin Tuesday visit jump‑starts Roma transfer push

Owner Ryan Friedkin arrived at Trigoria on Tuesday to oversee Roma’s transfer market operations, a move the Grugliasco‑born coach Gian Piero Gasperini called pivotal as the Giallorossi start their second season without any new signings in this historic stadium.

Gian Piero Gasperini is leaning heavily on the ownership to accelerate deals. He told Friedkin, “They’ll arrive in the next few hours, and their presence will be crucial.” The coach stressed that swift signings are essential for the upcoming campaign.

Gasperini’s second season officially began yesterday despite the lack of new arrivals. The Giallorossi remain without any fresh faces at the stadium.

The club applied a principle of speed in January, believing swift action is vital to secure targets. Gasperini said rapid responses mirror the ambition to compete at the highest level. He warned that any delay could jeopardise the club’s objectives.

“We hope to strengthen this team and respond to the enthusiasm of a city that has sold so many season tickets in just a few hours,” Gasperini added. The Giallorossi aim to turn that ticket‑selling momentum into rapid player acquisitions.

According to Il Romanista, Friedkin arrived this morning at the Fulvio Bernardini Stadium, coinciding with the vice‑president’s visit to assess the squad. Their joint presence was presented as the kick‑start for Roma’s transfer market.
