Paris Saint-Germain chase world‑class winger as Leipzig price soars

🇫🇷
Paris Saint-Germain are accelerating their pursuit of Ivorian winger Yan Diomande after the 19‑year‑old World Cup standout chose a move to the Champions League winners over Liverpool. A verbal agreement has already been reached, with the player set to sign a five‑year contract at the Parc des Princes. The club, fresh from a Ligue 1 title and a Champions League triumph, identified a need for a dynamic wide attacker to sustain their offensive thrust. Diomande, regarded as one of the world’s most talented wingers, fits that requirement. A verbal agreement has been secured, and Diomande has agreed to a five‑year deal. PSG are prepared to outlay more than €100 million, as the German side RB Leipzig had set a price tag of up to €130 million. Fabrizio Romano said, "One hundred million euros is not enough," adding that "RB Leipzig has made clear that he cannot leave this summer unless for a huge amount." Leipzig indicated they could allow PSG to lock the player in for the summer of 2027, meaning PSG would either pay a premium now or arrange a deal for next year. Besides Diomande, Paris Saint-Germain also target a second important reinforcement: Maghes Akliouche. The 24‑year‑old playmaker, capable of operating as a number ten or right winger, wants to move from AS Monaco and is currently active with France at the World Cup, while his contract runs until mid‑2028. Liverpool must look elsewhere after Diomande’s decision, and the club may turn its attention to Bradley Barcola. Barcola, a right winger who also features for Les Bleus, is high on Liverpool’s shortlist. Gonçalo Ramos is set to leave for €74 million to AC Milan, Kang‑in Lee is in advanced negotiations with Atlético Madrid, and Randal Kolo Muani has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus. PSG must now finalize the financial terms with RB Leipzig or secure a future clause, while also confirming Akliouche’s move before his contract expires in 2028.
