PSG’s €40m Thuram pursuit and Milan’s Silva standoff
Paris Saint-Germain have tabled a €40 million bid for Khephren Thuram, as Juventus weigh multiple incoming and outgoing options. The Ligue 1 champions’ interest in the France international adds pressure on Juventus’ transfer strategy, with the club also considering replacements for outgoing midfielders.
At Juventus, incoming targets for incoming manager Luciano Spalletti include Randal Kolo Muani, Stanislav Lobotka, and Emiliano Martinez, with the French striker listed as the priority. The club’s management will hold a meeting to finalize their approach, while outgoing deals remain a key focus.
Milan’s pursuit of Antonio Silva has hit a snag after Benfica responded with a prohibitively high asking price despite a contract agreement being reached. The Rossoneri have since been offered Tiago Gabriel, a Lecce defender linked with Premier League interest, as an alternative. Alfredo Pedullà reports Sporting’s Ousmane Diomandé, a 2003-born centre-back, is also on Sporting CP’s radar.
Nottingham Forest’s interest in Curtis Jones is intensifying, with Liverpool valuing the midfielder at around €40 million. Talks are ongoing, but no agreement has been reached. Nicolò Schira notes that Forest’s potential move for Jones, alongside interest in Tottenham’s Gustaf Bergvall, could reduce their valuation of Davide Frattesi.
Napoli are targeting midfield reinforcements to replace André-Frank Anguissa, with Il Mattino reporting interest in Richard Rios (born 2001) and Pape Matar Sarr (born 2002). The club aims to rejuvenate the squad, with the average age dropping following the likely departure of a senior player. The new cycle is framed as a five-year project running to 2031.
Roma have identified three replacements for Manu Koné, who may leave the club. La dello Sport lists Gustavo Puerta of Racing Santander, Arne Engels of Celtic, and Matt O’Riley of Brighton, the latter available on loan with an option to buy. Puerta’s valuation could rise if Colombia progress further in the World Cup.
Lazio are pursuing Feyenoord’s Ramiz Zerrouki, a 1998-born holding midfielder valued at around €6 million by the Dutch club. TMW reports the Biancocelesti consider the fee affordable, with Zerrouki having spent last season on loan at Twente.
Fiorentina have made an inquiry for Edon Zhegrova, but negotiations have not begun as the player prefers to remain at Juventus. Alfredo Pedullà notes interest from other French clubs, complicating any potential move.
