PSV extends Tygo Land loan to FC Groningen for 2024‑25
Tygo Land will stay on loan at FC Groningen for the 2024‑25 Eredivisie campaign, as PSV confirmed the extension after the midfielder's 30 appearances for the Dutch side last season. The deal will be officially signed once the remaining formalities are completed.
PSV faces strong competition in midfield, prompting the club to allow Land to gain regular minutes elsewhere. FC Groningen, known as De Trots van het Noorden, seized the opportunity to secure a new loan for the 20‑year‑old midfielder.
During the previous season, Land featured in 30 Eredivisie matches for Groningen, starting 17 of them in the second half of the campaign. His contributions included two assists for the club.
PSV signed Land in the summer of 2022 after recruiting him from SC Heerenveen’s youth academy. His contract with PSV runs until mid‑2029.
The Dutch midfielder has also been capped as a single international for the Jong Oranje side, making eleven appearances for PSV’s senior squad to date.
PSV expressed satisfaction with Land’s development at Euroborg and therefore agreed to extend the loan period for another season.
The loan agreement will be confirmed once the final paperwork is processed, ensuring Land remains with FC Groningen for the upcoming season.
