PSV lets Myron Boadu train as free agent

PSV will start its pre‑season training for the new campaign on Monday. Myron Boadu is scheduled to take part in those sessions to maintain his fitness.

The Dutch club acquired Boadu in the final days of last summer’s transfer window from AS Monaco for a modest fee. The signing was intended to bolster the attack after Alassane Pléa suffered a severe injury that kept him out for most of the season.

PSV held an option to prolong Boadu’s contract by an additional year but elected not to activate it. Consequently, the forward will become a free player nine days after the option deadline.

During the 2023‑24 season Boadu featured in seventeen matches for PSV, starting three of them. He contributed three goals across those appearances.

Born in Amsterdam, Boadu previously developed his career at FC Twente and AZ, where he broke through and completed his youth training. Those Dutch clubs provided the platform for his emergence before moving abroad.

Head coach Peter Bosz will oversee Boadu’s integration into the training group while the striker awaits a new contract. The arrangement allows the player to stay match‑ready ahead of any potential move.

Fans can follow the latest Studio Oranje podcast, which includes 34‑cap Dutch international Daryl Janmaat discussing the national team and other topics. The episode is also available on Spotify for listeners.

The striker has not announced his next club, leaving his future open. PSV has not indicated any further involvement after the pre‑season period.
