PSV target three signings as Saibari heads to Bayern

PSV Eindhoven plan to add three players, seeking replacements for departing Ismael Saibari and injured Jerdy Schouten, and an extra wing‑back, as manager Peter Bosz looks to the youth academy for talent Noah Fernandez. Saibari is expected to move to Bayern Munich on 1 July.

From 1 July Ismael Saibari is expected to join Bayern Munich, and the fee PSV receives will be largely reinvested, primarily in midfield signings, according to the Eindhovens Dagblad. The club views the incoming funds as crucial for strengthening the squad. The scouting network is already identifying several midfield options.

The Eindhovens Dagblad reported: 'PSV zal hoe dan ook een vervanger voor Saibari willen, een vervanger voor de geblesseerde Jerdy Schouten en een extra back', zo schrijft het ED. Bosz and his assistant Stewart are also assessing what can be promoted from the youth academy. The coaching staff believes the academy could supply the needed quality without costly external signings.

Bosz has specifically indicated a desire to add an additional wing‑back to the roster. The position is seen as vital for providing width in both defense and attack.

Internally, there are voices urging the club to place greater confidence in the highly‑rated youngster Noah Fernandez. Fernandez, regarded as a large talent, has impressed in recent training sessions.

In recent years PSV’s academy has seen talents such as Jason van Duiven, Robin van Duiven, Dele Thomas and Isaac Babadi depart, a trend the board hopes to reverse. These departures have prompted PSV to prioritize retaining homegrown players.

By channeling Saibari’s proceeds into midfield acquisitions and promoting Fernandez, PSV aims to rebuild the squad ahead of the new season. The club expects to finalize its transfer targets before the summer window closes.
