Real Madrid add buy‑back clause to Newcastle Munoz deal

Real Madrid have secured a buy‑back clause in the transfer of Victor Munoz to Newcastle United. The Spanish club will receive €15 million when the 22‑year‑old completes his €30 million move to the Premier League side. The clause remains active for one year, allowing Real Madrid to re‑sign Munoz as a first‑team player before the end of next summer. If the option is not exercised, control over his future passes to Newcastle. Munoz spent the previous season at Osasuna, where he impressed before the move. Osasuna will collect €15 million plus add‑ons and may have negotiated a sell‑on clause that could trigger further payments if Real Madrid activates the buy‑back in 2027. Anthony Gordon’s recent transfer to Barcelona creates a left‑wing vacancy at Newcastle, giving Munoz the chance to become a starter at St James’ Park. Both Munoz and his agent have stressed the desire for regular prominence, and Newcastle acquire a player who could increase in value.
