Real Madrid eye centre-back, midfield, striker after signings
Real Madrid have already secured four players and are still scouting for a centre‑back, a central midfielder and a forward ahead of the new season under coach Jose Mourinho. The club’s activity comes before the summer transfer window opens.
The signings include free‑agents Ibrahim Konate and David Silva, Denzel Dumfries arriving from Inter Milan after his release clause was paid, and Marc Cucurella joining from Chelsea. All four arrivals will be available to Mourinho at the start of the next campaign.
For the centre‑back vacancy the club’s shortlist features Tomas Araujo of Benfica and Nico Schlotterbeck of Borussia Dortmund, with Schlotterbeck placed higher in the priority list. The report indicates the German defender is ahead of the Portuguese option.
In midfield the targets are Premier League players Mateus Fernandez from West Ham United, Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea and Rodri from Manchester City, all expected to command high fees. The club has yet to confirm whether any of the three will be signed.
On the attacking front, Real Madrid’s bid for Julian Alvarez was turned down by Atletico Madrid, while Michael Olise remains linked despite Bayern Munich stating he is not for sale. The final composition of the forward line will depend on the outcome of these negotiations.
