Real Madrid in advanced talks for Bernardo Silva
Real Madrid are in advanced talks to sign Portuguese international Bernardo Silva on a free transfer. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the club has already sent a formal contract offer to Silva.
Incoming Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has identified Silva as a priority target for the Santiago Bernabeu. The Merengues aim to outpace both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for his signature.
Silva raised his salary demands after interest from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid intensified. Barcelona refused to increase their initial proposal, noting they do not want to overpay for a player who would be a substitute in Hansi Flick’s plans.
With Barcelona standing firm, the former Manchester City captain appears set to favour a move to Real Madrid. The accompanying photo is credited to Carlos Rodrigues.
