Real Madrid, Mourinho push for Bernardo Silva
Real Madrid are seriously considering signing Bernardo Silva after Jose Mourinho asked the club to explore a move for the Portuguese midfielder. Mourinho personally requested the club to look at Silva.
Silva is a free agent and Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are also linked to him, creating a potential three‑way battle. Interest from Atletico includes the possibility of more regular minutes under Diego Simeone.
A meeting took place with Mourinho, super agent Jorge Mendes, Real Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sanchez and chief scout Juni Calafat to discuss Silva's name. Mourinho is described as a strong admirer of the Portuguese and has asked the club to consider signing him this summer.
Silva said Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona are fighting for him and that Barcelona remains an option but no decision yet. He noted Barcelona can offer Hansi Flick's project, Atletico a prominent role under Simeone, and Real Madrid the chance to compete for every major trophy under Mourinho.
