Real Madrid poised to bid €220m for Bayern's Michael Olise
Real Madrid are prepared to offer up to €220m for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, 24, as the German club looks to secure his future with a new contract. Bayern have signalled they will not sell the player and are working on a five‑year extension that would raise his wages to €25m per season.
Florentino Perez has described Olise as his dream target and previously pledged €150m for a new signing during his election campaign. Real Madrid are ready to exceed that amount, with club belief a deal could be reached in the upcoming transfer window. Bayern Munich, however, have made clear they are not prepared to let the winger leave.
The proposed €220m bid would sit €2m shy of Neymar Junior’s €222m transfer to Paris Saint-Germain nine years ago. While the sum would be tempting, Bayern remain determined to retain Olise.
Bayern aim to secure Olise with a new five‑year contract, extending beyond his current deal that runs to 2029. The club plans to raise his salary from €15m to €25m per season, a figure that could exceed what he would earn at Real Madrid. Reports in Germany indicate the negotiations are expected to be concluded in the coming weeks.
Olise’s own decision will be decisive, as he currently focuses on the 2026 World Cup. After the tournament, the France international will decide whether to pursue a new challenge. Real Madrid must wait for his call before any move can be finalized.
