Real Madrid President Perez Announces €150m Bid Target
Florentino Perez said he would send a €150m bid for a player on Tuesday. He did not reveal the player's identity but said the bid aims to break Real Madrid's transfer record.
Reports linked Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as the priority target. Paris Saint-Germain duo Vitinha and Joao Neves were cited as alternatives, though none are reportedly for sale for €150m or more.
Recent speculation suggested Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez could be the subject of Real Madrid's pursuit. Cadena SER said they have heard nothing from Real Madrid and are laughing at the idea of Alvarez joining Los Blancos, while Los Colchoneros have been linked with a €150m sale. Alvarez is also Barcelona’s preferred target for the number nine role.
Alvarez carries a €500m release clause and is contracted until 2029, reducing the likelihood of a €150m deal. Ben Jacobs told GMS that some Champions League clubs might sign Alvarez for less than the €150m figure.
