Real Madrid target Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha
Real Madrid have entered the race for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, joining Manchester City and Manchester United in pursuit of the 25‑year‑old German international. The interest comes as the 2026 FIFA World Cup is under way.
Jose Mourinho is already shaping Real Madrid’s squad for the future. The club announced the signing of Marc Cucurella earlier today and confirmed deals for Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Bernardo Silva. Mourinho also indicated a desire to add a central midfielder.
Felix Nmecha has become a key figure at Borussia Dortmund and is attracting attention from several elite clubs. He extended his contract in March, binding him to Dortmund until 2030, with a €70 million release clause that activates in 2027. Dortmund have stated they are under no pressure to sell and view Nmecha as central to their long‑term project.

Manchester City and Manchester United are also monitoring Nmecha’s situation, which could drive his price higher. Real Madrid face the challenge of convincing Dortmund, which retains full control until the clause triggers, that an extraordinary offer is on the table.Real Madrid snatches Marc Cucurella from Atletico Madrid after near deal
