Real Madrid to earn €15m from Munoz transfer
Real Madrid will receive at least €15 million from the sell‑on clause in Victor Munoz’s pending transfer to Newcastle United.
Munoz, 22, moved from Real Madrid to Osasuna last summer for €6 million. The deal included a buy‑back option and left Real Madrid with 50 % of his economic rights.
In his first season at Osasuna, Munoz logged 36 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing five assists, establishing himself as a constant threat.
Newcastle United, looking to replace Anthony Gordon after his recent move to Barcelona, have identified Munoz as their primary target. A €30 million agreement is reportedly in principle, with only minor details remaining.
Real Madrid declined to trigger the buy‑back clause, meaning the retained 50 % share will generate a minimum €15 million for the Spanish club.
The incoming funds will be available as Jose Mourinho plans additions to his squad for the 2026‑27 season, while the club will no longer control Munoz’s future.
