Roma target Nicolò Savona for Serie A return
Roma are targeting Nicolò Savona, who currently plays for Nottingham Forest, as part of their push to reinforce the flanks for a Serie A return. The 2003-born forward would need to outpace competition from Atalanta.
Savona, a former Juventus player, is recovering from a knee injury and has expressed interest in returning to Italy, which could see him leave the Premier League. He finished the season with 20 appearances, two goals and two assists.
Coach Gasperini is focusing on a stronger attack than last season, when only Malen reached double figures. Roma’s transfer agenda also includes capital gains by June 30 and contract renewals for Paulo Dybala, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Zeki Celik.
