SK Beveren staff departs after unbeaten promotion
SK Beveren announced that head coach Marink Reedijk has left the club, taking with him the entire technical team that guided the Waaslanders to promotion and an unbeaten title last season. The Belgian side also confirmed the appointment of Dutch trainer Tim Bakens as Reedijk’s successor.
Under Reedijk’s leadership, SK Beveren secured promotion to the higher division and completed the campaign without a single defeat. The achievement marked a historic milestone for the club’s Waasland community.
Reedijk, a Dutch national, decided to pursue a new professional challenge after the successful season. His departure closed a chapter that began with the club’s recent resurgence.
Tim Bakens was swiftly installed as the new head coach to steer SK Beveren forward. Bakens, also Dutch, inherits a squad fresh from promotion and aims to build on the recent triumphs.
The club also confirmed that assistant‑trainer Rogier Molhoek, Nill De Pauw, Thomas van der Heijden and Regis Kangafu are leaving the technical staff. SK Beveren stated, “De club wenst het viertal uitdrukkelijk te bedanken voor hun onvoorwaardelijke inzet en wenst hen veel succes toe in hun verdere carrière,” expressing gratitude for their contributions.
With the full staff turnover, Bakens will be free to assemble his own coaching entourage. The club indicated that future sporting reinforcements will be pursued to sustain the momentum of the unbeaten promotion campaign.
